organic skin care for brides www.digest.belladfricana

Every bride knows the importance of having flawless skin on the big day. Where are all our #bridestobe? Start your skin care regimen now with organic products for a flawless look on your wedding day. All that planning and stress can give you a tired look.

We preach organic because most beauty brands have chemicals and lightening ingredients that may be harmful to the skin. So we want to stay away from products like those.
Below are 3 DIY beauty hacks for every bride to be.
1) STRAWBERRY TREATMENT: Strawberry contains salicylic acid that helps in eliminating the dead cells from the skin and makes the skin smooth and soft.

1 ripe strawberry

1 tablespoon of olive oil

2 tablespoons of honey

Method: Take one ripe strawberry and mash it well to a smooth paste. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil into it along with 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply this on the face including the eye area. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off. This pack is very gentle and does not contain any ingredient that causes damage to sensitive areas like around the eyes. Therefore it can be used around the eyes too.

2) COFFEE SCRUB: Most of us have been downing coffee like no mans business but we never knew that coffee does better work on our outside than on the inside. The beauty benefits of coffee are endless. It’s an amazing natural exfoliator.

3 tablespoons coffee grounds (new, if possible)

1 tablespoon natural oil of your choice: Olive, grape seed, coconut, or almond

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Method: Mix all dry ingredients, then add oil. Based on the kind of scrub consistency you want, add more or less brown sugar. Massage onto your face in gentle, circular motions, then rinse with warm water.

3) Activated Charcoal Face Mask: Lastly, we recommend the activated charcoal face mask. And lol, no I don’t mean the charcoal used for grilling. Activated charcoal has been treated thoroughly and is safe to use on the skin, hair and even whitening of the teeth. This facemask will rid your face of acne and blackheads.

1 teaspoon bentonite clay

1 capsule activated charcoal , powder removed

1 teaspoon organic raw apple cider vinegar

3 drops tea tree oil

  1. In a small glass bowl, combine clay, charcoal powder, apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil. Stir to combine. If the mixture is too dry, add a few drops of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  2. Apply mask to clean face, spreading in an even layer. Wash hands and rinse out glass bowl.
  3. Leave mask on for 10 minutes. Rinse mask off with warm water and a washcloth. If you have trouble getting rid of the color, apply coconut oil with a cotton pad to stained spots.
  4. Moisturize as normal.

And just in case DIY is a bit tedious, you can get organically produced beauty products from some of our favorite brands. You can find them and order on instagram off the following handles.
